- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
5. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set and slightly cracked on top.
7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
